class=\"citation-34\">robotic assistants for scientists<\/span><\/b><\/span><span data-path-to-node=\"1,3\">. <\/span><span data-path-to-node=\"1,5\"><span class=\"citation-33\">Through a cross-curricular and practically-oriented scenario, children actively participate in a series of educational activities where each mission is linked to the <\/span><b data-path-to-node=\"1,5\" data-index-in-node=\"166\"><span class=\"citation-33\">needs<\/span><\/b><span class=\"citation-33\"> of a different <\/span><b data-path-to-node=\"1,5\" data-index-in-node=\"187\"><span class=\"citation-33\">scientific field<\/span><\/b><\/span><span data-path-to-node=\"1,7\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"1\"><span data-path-to-node=\"2,1\"><span class=\"citation-32\">Students work in teams to create mechanical constructions that serve as <\/span><b data-path-to-node=\"2,1\" data-index-in-node=\"72\"><span class=\"citation-32\">scientific assistants<\/span><\/b><span class=\"citation-32\">, such as for a chemist researching solutions, a physicist requiring field measurements, or a doctor needing a medication reminder device<\/span><\/span><span data-path-to-node=\"2,3\">. <\/span><span data-path-to-node=\"2,5\"><span class=\"citation-31\">These robotic assistants are not simple structures\u2014they are programmed, react to sensors, communicate via LED or sound, and often &#8220;learn&#8221; to <\/span><b data-path-to-node=\"2,5\" data-index-in-node=\"141\"><span class=\"citation-31\">adapt to stimuli<\/span><\/b><\/span><span data-path-to-node=\"2,7\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"1\"><span data-path-to-node=\"3,1\"><span class=\"citation-30\">The emphasis is placed on the <\/span><b data-path-to-node=\"3,1\" data-index-in-node=\"30\"><span class=\"citation-30\">application of technology within scientific contexts<\/span><\/b><span class=\"citation-30\">, boosting both student imagination and the understanding of the role science and engineering play in solving real-life problems<\/span><\/span><span data-path-to-node=\"3,3\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"citation-27\">Building-block type construction materials<\/span><\/b><span class=\"citation-27\">: These allow for the modular creation of robotic forms, mobile systems, and simple
