At the moment there is a focus on the use of the Ministry’s equipment. To this end, cables are being created with which sensors can work with as many boards as possible, the STEM Extension with which we can program S1 & S2 with Mind+, Lego type building materials, Supporting materials with related lessons and books and suggestions. Seminars have been started to make use of the equipment available in schools.

The preparation of the Panhellenic Competition is in progress, for which the registration form for teams, information, the webinars for teachers’ preparation, etc. can be found here.

We can design our own knowledge and skills path.

Starting from what I am and where I want to go, we end up going through similar educational material, which is available in the [Repository] and in the [Repository structure] that is organised to facilitate this journey.

Good navigation.

About Course

TechCard has been created specifically for teaching Design Technology in Primary Schools and is also increasingly used to investigate key elements of the Science and Maths curriculums. TechCard is also an ideal resource for STEAM projects and learning.

The Control-it Kit is the third and most advanced TechCard kit and introduces simple control technology in the form of various types of switch incorporated into an ingenious set of models. An important element to the projects is that pupils actually construct the switches from simple components revealing just how and why they work. The control switches range from simple pressure switches, tilt switches and magnetic switches to the construction of a ‘double pole – double throw’ switch. The instructions for the most advanced models are set out so they can be constructed with or without the more complex switch mechanisms. As with all TechCard kits, there is enormous scope for the development and modification of the models and components shown.
