As is known, this school year we celebrate 10+ years of the development and organization of the Panhellenic competition based on the #STEM methodology. It is the only competition that was developed and continues to develop in our country! It is also organized in Southern Europe, as well as in the Mediterranean countries (Africa and the Middle East). You can see more on the page www.stem-association.org
At the same time, we organize the Panhellenic qualifying competition for the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) in which we have been participating as a country continuously since 2009. So this year we celebrate 10 years of STEM & Educational Robotics together! Building on our valuable experience, we are pleased to announce that the Panhellenic competition is being transformed into an International competition for Southern European countries (Balkan countries) as well as Mediterranean countries.
The International Competition will be hosted in Athens, specifically at the Metropolitan Exhibition Center, on Saturday, April 5, 2025. The Greek teams that will take part in it will qualify from the Panhellenic Competition that will be organized in Larissa on Sunday, March 23, 2025.
It is important and must be understood that the Region also has the ability to host major student events! For this reason, we will continue to organize the Panhellenic Competition in other Regions of our country.
So this school year we have:
13 Regional Competitions
1 Panhellenic Competition
1 International Competition and
a very big surprise next September.
So we celebrate together with the educational community all this activity that is due to the will of teachers, students and their parents, an alliance that has ranked our country at a very high level both at European and global levels!
In the context of the innovation that governs us and the celebration of this school year, for the WRO 2025 Olympiad qualifiers, a competition will be held with the themes of the Panhellenic competition. The first 4-5 teams, depending on the participation of each category, and specifically:
the Open Primary Category
the Open Middle School Category
the Open High School Category
as well as the Regular Primary Middle School & High School Category.
These teams will take part in a Pre-Olympic #camp in June or September (this will be decided with the team coaches) and from this camp the respective team will emerge that will represent our country in the upcoming Robotics Olympiad.
Which translates into three teams in Robo Mission (one per level) and three teams in Future innovators.
For the remaining categories of the WRO, there will be a relevant announcement after the Izmir Olympiad (28-30/11/2024). The educational community is therefore invited to participate and show the unique path of development and real investment in the new generation of our country, which is also the only condition for the development of our country.
The dynamic repository of STEM knowledge is a support in all of the above. Connect and coordinate with the unique PORTAL providing free knowledge and information https://portal.stem.edu.gr/
